Ahh the beautiful wedding of Melissa and JP. This quote really explains the love between these two amazing people. The wedding was held at he beautiful Fraai Gesig wedding venue in Pretoria east, in the “outside” church in the woods and it made for the most beautiful backdrop. 

Melissa and JP are such an inspiration, they are both self employed following their passions. The love between them was a magnetic as a force field … which meant my work as a photographer was 1000% easier. All I had to do was just capture the moments. Melissa was one of the most beautiful brides I have ever had the privilege of photographing.

The wedding was small with only 50 people because of South African lockdown regulations, which also made for a small “Only the people that matters” intimate wedding. They had a nice family lunch after the ceremony where everyone got to enjoy the lovely food in the reception hll as well as snacks and chill time at the lovely canopies. 

All over it was a beautiful wedding, celebrated in such a peaceful setting filled with love. I really enjoyed capturing this beautiful day and I feel honoured to could’ve been part of this day .

Pantone of the year 2020… The beautiful Deep Blue !

Every year, in the middle of the year, when everyone seems to have forgotten the big exciting things that happened in the beginning of the year, I write a blogpost about the Pantone colour of the year.

This is one of my favourite things every year, not just exploring the different shades but also following how the said colour have made appearances throughout the year.

This year is one of the most beautiful colours: Deep Blue, with code Pantone 19-4052. Pantone puts a in-depth description to each colour every year and this is what they had to say about this year:

“A timeless and enduring blue hue, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue is elegant in its simplicity. Suggestive of the sky at dusk, the reassuring qualities of the thought-provoking PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue highlight our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.

Imprinted in our psyches as a restful colour, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue brings a sense of peace and tranquility to the human spirit, offering refuge. The last time Pantone used a blue shade as simplistic as this was in 1999, the colour Cerulean, which is a lighter shade of blue was chosen. Think Caribbean blue but not quite. Pantone’s first colour of the year was Cerulean in 1999, and was lauded as the color of “the new millennium.” This colour was chosen to keep the calm and peace before all the uncertainty in the new millennium. Isn’t it interesting that a shade of blue is once again chosen for a year where we once again need peace and calmness for a year so uncertain and unpredictable as 2020.

So as expected there are many ways to incorporate this beautiful deep blue into your everyday lives and make it a little bit more personal. The first is interiors. Whether you paint a feature wall in this stunning colour, add a fancy chair to spice up the room or add little details like a vase or artwork, this beautiful deep blue is the perfect way to bring peace and calmness into your home.

 

Because I am a photographer I thought I would add some interesting ways deep blue is incorporated into photography. Just for some inspiration and if you might want a cool idea for your next photoshoot or even just your next IG post.

Lastly fashion (think Meryl Streep in Devil wears Prada), I think is the place where this Deep blue will make the biggest impact. From hand bags, Coats and high heels to blue suits and accessories. Deep blue can spice up any outfit and make it sophisticated in a wink.

Love Fitness industrial concept photoshoot

What is up beautiful people !!

Today I want to tell you about one the coolest things that we have done the past couple of weeks. So by now you must realise that I love creating content, especially for our sister company Love Fitness, so this shoot was no exception. 

I used this opportunity to go above what we’ve ever done. I got 3 of the most beautiful fitness models that I could, and found the most incredible venue to do this shoot at, that was completely out of norm. 

Firstly these 3 models are all past fitness competitors, they are all 3 personal trainers in the industry and they are all 3 just the most beautiful ladies inside and out. It was the greatest joy to work with these ladies and obviously my work was super easy with them being so beautiful as they are. 

The venue was the other Amazing thing about this shoot. We made an arrangement with the awesome people from Artistic Autobody in Silvertonedale in Pretoria to shoot in their yard. This allowed me to create something that was completely different from what I’ve ever done. These people are truly the best at what they do, so if you need any paint. Our latest shoot !! Savannah and her beautiful horses !

Hello Beautiful

I hope you are doing well and you are safe !!

To brighten up your day I thought I would share some beauties from our last shoot !

We did this shoot just before lock down and it tells the story of the beautiful Savannah and her 5 horses.

Savannah has been competing in Horse riding and pole jumping from the age of 7/8 years old and these 5 horses have walked the road along with her. So basically I was in the midst of a few champions. These horses also are the most poised, graceful and loving horses that I have ever meet, which is honestly just a reflection of Savannah’s heart.

Boys High Matric farewell

Hellooo Beautiful people !!

What a beautiful time of the year, spring has sprung, all the new flowers are starting to bloom and the first rains of the season has come. But the most beautiful part of this time of year for any teenager is off course Matric farewell season!!

So let me share a little bit of the beautiful Matric farewell photoshoot we got to shoot in the heart of Pretoria. This was for Boys High and can I just say, they looked stunning !!

The photoshoot was done at the The Irene dairy farm and we had just over an hour to complete the whole shoot. These two off course were naturals which made my job as photographer exceptionally easy !!

Fitness shoot vibes

Today I want to tell you more about a fitness shoot we did recently for the launch of our third sister company, Love Fitness group and personal training, and also what it is and what it will offer.

First things first, our owner, Leanda, has such a vast range of passion that she has decided to add to the already busy Whitelove group. Although Whitelove is a creative and inspiring dynamic, what better way to be creative and live an inspired life than with feeling good from the inside out. And the best way to do this is with fitness. So that is how the whole idea of Love fitness started, with passion , but also with the idea in mind to help people live a beautiful and inspired life from the inside out.

Love Fitness as a company will offer various services starting with personal training and nutrition advice, bootcamp, kettlebell training, various online challenges and ebooks to guide you through your journey. We are only in the starting phase, which brings us to the photoshoot.

We did this photoshoot with the two most beautiful models, Charlene and Nicolene who has also been on their own fitness journeys for quite a while now. The venue, what better place than sport grounds, were the stunning LC De Villiers in Pretoria. All we can say further is that when two of your passions come together, that’s when magic happens.

Inspiration … How important is it to find inspiration and how to ?

Good day beautiful people

Today I want to share a little something that is so close to my heart, Inspiration .. What is it, how important is it and how to get it or rather how to be inspired.

Insiration is defined as “ The process of being mentally stimulated to or to feel something, especially to do something creative.”

Now for me it is important to be inspired to create my best work, to be the best version of myself and to make the biggest impact in other people’s lives.

Inspiration can come from anything, the most important thing is that YOU find what inspires YOU. Something that you can go back to literally everyday and find new inspiration. For example, for me it is the clouds. The clouds for me personally shows how Amazing God is, it reminds me what amazing artist and creater He is and how we were all made in His likeness. Meaning we are all creative and we are all artists. It gives me the peace I need to sit down and create something new.

For you it might be something completey different, all that matters is that you find what it is for you and use it everyday. We are all unique and wired in different ways, this is something that inspires me in itself, how God can make every single peron on this earth different, so it is important to get to know who you are and work with that.

How important is inspiration? I personally believe that the human soul dies without it. Meaning that if you don’t find something that brings you peace and joy and inspires you to be better, you will lose your purpose and reason to live and will become the most awful person to live with.

If you are an artist, designer or any other creative you will know that without inspiration there is no real value in your work. But as any other role you may play in your life I think it works exactly the same way. For example if you are just a mother raising your beautiful children I think you would still need something daly to insire you to be the best mother to your children that there possibly is.

So what can you do to get inspiration? Look around you, do you have pretty flowers in your garden, beautiful birds that visit everyday or just cute fluffy pets running around. Look at the clouds, I live in the center point, most urban part of Pretoria in South africa, but it doesn’t matter how high the buildings get, they never cover the clouds. For people living on the coast, I must say that I am a bit jealous, for me the ocean is the most inspiring thing you can find , other people find that in the bush.

Further, find some inspirational reading material, good books and even inspirational movies are always a good idea.

Remove all the negative clutter out of your life. If you have negative people or articles on social media, remove it. Your brain has space for a certain amount of stimili through out the day, there are certain things and people that put negativity in our lives that we have no control over, but in the places where you can control it, make sure you remove it.

For new ideas and creative inspiration try pinterest, there are amazing new ideas, beautiful content and lots of DIY How to’s that will keep you buse for weeks.

Lastly, find a place of peace. Find a creative outlet. For me it is painting or writing. Find a place that is away from any distractions, put on some good music, light a candle and just create. Or go to a coffee shop, order some coffee and just create.

I hope this has brought some new inspiration, remember to take care of you.

Today I want to share something new and exciting with you.

So everyone loves a beautiful background for their desktop/ laptop, for your phone and for your tablet.

Well, while I am pursuing all things organisational this year and want everything to be neat and beautiful I designed a background for every month of the year which includes the calendar for the month. So now your background looks beautiful and if you need to know what day falls on which date you can just look at the screen of either your computer desktop, phone or tablet. Seeing as we are almost at the end of February, I have designed these to be ready for the rest of the year so you will find March 2017 to December 2017.

So I have designed the backgrounds for Computer desktop, phone and tablet all in corrolation of a theme a month. In other words, the background for your computer, tablet and phone for March will be the same but modified per device.

The photo’s used for these backgrounds have all been taken by Whitelove Photography and Lawalt photography respectively (I will indicate who took which photo) and the design of the Calender has all been done by Whitelove art & Interior design.
